Gildo Pallanca Pastor

Co-founder and President of the Board

A passionate entrepreneur, Gildo is at the head of several companies based in Monaco and throughout the world. Innovation, technology, and challenges are at the core of his career path and projects. As a pioneer in electric transportation, Gildo has always wanted to break records.

My passion is turning impossible dreams into reality. I love projects that are extraordinary, unthinkable, improbable. Some might call me crazy. I would say I'm a person trying to change the world, to revolutionize the way people think. But mainly I'm a provocateur, a dreamer, an enthusiast »

Dr. Antonio Delfino

Co-founder, Director and Member of

the Board

Passionate about science and technology, Antonio has a PhD in Physics and has spent more than 30 years on research, development, and industrial projects. He worked for 25 years at “Michelin Recherche et Technique” as the Head of the Chemistry and Physics Department. He was also Senior Fellow for the “Michelin Group.” He was the initiator, principal investigator, and co-inventor of the first ever Michelin Fuel Cell.  He is also co-inventor of the Tweel, Airless, UPTIS tire technologies and the associated high-performance composites and processes. Based on these technologies, he developed a set of Lunar Wheels for JPL/NASA. He has earned more than 120 patents and authored 18 scientific papers in various fields such as hydrogen and oxygen generation and storage, fuel cells, composite materials, polymer science, and industrial processes. Antonio also serves on the Venturi Astrolab Advisory Board.

David Olsommer

Co-founder, Head of Mechanical

Engineering Department

Driven by passion for engineering, David has a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering. He worked for 22 years at “Michelin Recherche et Technique” in a variety of fields. He designed all the mechanical components of the four generations of the Michelin Fuel Cell. David has designed and tested a fuel cell system in flight on an Airbus 320 (DLR). For the first time on a civilian aircraft, this innovative clean energy source powered the aircraft’s back-up hydraulic and electric power systems and demonstrated the RAT replacement. He was involved in designing several prototypes of the Michelin Active Wheel that managed the propulsion and suspension of an electric vehicle. He designed oxygen and hydrogen tanks to withstand very high pressures, up to 900 bar. David has earned more than 40 patents. He is also an Expert Engineer for the company Insolight that produces high efficiency solar panels with solar concentrators. David worked also on THEIA that can produce 30-160% more electricity per square meter than a conventional crystalline-silicon agrivoltaic installation whilst letting through part of the sunlight. Its key applications are mounted on open fields or integrated within greenhouses with sufficient light transmitted for plant photosynthesis.

Dr. Milan Fedurco

Co-founder, Head of Chemistry and

Physics Department

With a deep passion for science, Milan has a PhD in Physical-Chemistry. He spent three years at the University of California Davis and six years at the University of Geneva. During the years 2001-2003 Milan has developed BTA chemistry for the DNA attachment on a glass surface & generation of DNA clusters. The solid-phase DNA amplification (so called bridge amplification) and DNA sequencing by synthesis (patents US 9217178; US 9303290, US 9970055) became integral part of the Illumina Next-generation sequencing platforms. Today, 6 tera base/run or 6x1012 DNA bases are sequenced within 44 hours. Milan worked for 17 years at “Michelin Recherche et Technique” as Senior Research Scientist. He developed the first Michelin fluoro-polymer membrane for fuel cells and the associated catalyst.  Milan has a broad knowledge and expertise in chemical synthesis of polymers such as silicones, polyurethanes, ion-conducting polymers for fuel cells, and others. As an accomplished chemist, he has a deep understanding of electrochemistry, organic chemistry, and physical chemistry of surfaces. Milan has earned more than 70 patents in various fields and authored 60 scientific papers. He is also very passionate and interested in biochemistry and the neurobiology of the human brain.

Pascal Schroeter

Co-founder, Head of Software and Electrical

Engineering Department

Passionate about multidisciplinary engineering. Pascal has a Masters degree in Electrical and Software Engineering. He spent 10 years at Ilford, where he developed the world’s first machine able to control ink thickness at submicrometric scale. Pascal worked for 25 years at “Michelin Recherche et Technique” as Senior Engineer and Head of Computer and Software Engineering. He was deeply involved in the development of the Michelin brushless electric motors and the associate processes. Pascal and his team have developed software for the production of composite materials, and non-pneumatic tire manufacturing. Many of his software products are enabling industrial processes around the globe. Pascal’s skills in computer science allowed him to design server architectures, internet and security infrastructure for massive engineering computation, data, and e-mail management. He has earned more than 20 patents in various field of engineering.

Beat Renz

Co-founder, Head of Finance - Marketing

People

Beat is a successful entrepreneur. He obtained 3 Federal Marketing Professional Certificates, specialized in direct marketing, and worked for seven years as Marketing Director for the mail order company "Iba" in Switzerland.

Beat then co-founded several companies, most of them sold and distributed office supplies and paper products. His human resource skills and admiration for engineering achievement allows him to bond people together and enable them to accomplish very difficult objectives. Beat’s focus is on streamlining and simplifying all administrative processes, so that the engineers can focus on design, development, hardware assembly and testing. He is also the business and marketing developer of Venturi Lab inventions.   Beat spends part of his time helping Tibetan orphan children to find a home and access to an education.
